Three Nights of Russian Terror
While the United States seeks peace between Russia and Ukraine, Russia’s response was to send a barrage of missiles and drones into Ukraine to attack civilians. The most recent was on Sunday night when Russia fired 367 drones and missiles across Ukraine, killing twelve people and injuring dozens.
After President Trump criticized Vladimir Putin on his Truth Social, calling him crazy, the Kremlin’s response was to suggest that President Trump has become too emotional.
"Of course, at the same time, this is a very crucial moment, which is associated, of course, with the emotional overload of everyone absolutely and with emotional reactions," he (Dmitry Peskov) added.
RT sent out an additional response on X regarding Trump’s Truth Social post. RT is known as the English language mouthpiece of the Kremlin. This was a clear sign of Russia escalating its criticism of President Trump.
“President Trump warns Moscow, warning Russia avoided ‘REALLY BAD’ consequences only thanks to him
‘Putin doesn’t realize….he’s playing with fire! - Trump’s message leaves little room for interpretation
Until he posts the opposite tomorrow morning.”
Russia proves over and over again that they are not ready for peace. They only understand punishment. Additional sanctions and the provision of more weapons to Ukraine would be a good start. Only by forcing Putin to the negotiation table through punishing leverage will Putin be prepared for peace.
Congress must act by passing the Russia Sanctions Bill of 2025.
