Trump Approves Russia Sanctions Bill

Senator Lyndsey Graham, a key supporter of Ukraine, said during an ABC News interview on Sunday, June 29th, that over a round of golf on Saturday, President Trump said, “It’s time to move your bill.” Senator Graham affirmed a pledge to pass the Russia Sanction Bill of 2025 the day after the July 4th break, which would most likely be the week of July 7th. He also expressed confidence that the President would sign the bill into law.

So what does this bill do? If you're buying products from Russia and you're not helping Ukraine, then there's a 500 percent tariff on your products coming into the United States. India and China buy 70 percent of Putin's oil. They keep his war machine going," Graham explained.

Senator Graham continued, "It would allow the president to put tariffs on China and India, and other countries to stop them from supporting Putin’s war machine and get him to the table."

When asked if Graham expected Trump to sign the bill, the senator responded: "Yes, I think we're in good shape... But he has a waiver. It's up to him how to impose it."

As of June 29th, the Senate bill had 84 cosponsors while the House companion bill had 80 cosponsors.
